Abstract

275,645. Setzer, R. Aug. 6, 1926, [Convention date]. Openers etc.; feeding openers &c.-Fibrous material is opened by two sets of pins 3 arranged to move in eccentric circular paths. On entering the material held by the feed rollers 14, the two sets of pins intermesh and are in line. As the devices carrying the pins rotabe the pins separate and draw out the tangled material. The action is dependent on the speed of separation of the sets of pins. The device may be applied to the discharge end of a hopper bale breaker, and a grid and baffles to regulate the suction to the cages be provided.
