Abstract

275,385. Bronander, W. B. July 1, 1926. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel. - Fuel enters the combustion chamber when either or both of the working pistons 33, 34 engage the end of one or a pair of spring-pressed plungers 54 so opening the valve 52. The fuel is supplied from a reservoir 55 in which the requisite pressure is maintained by a connection to the combustion chamber through a valve 47 which opens when the pressure is at its maximum. The needle valve 57 is controlled either manually by means of a handle-wheel 63 or automatically by an engine-driven governor 64. A worm wheel 60 on the valve spindle is actuated by a worm 61 supported in bearings 62 which permit rotary and longitudinal movement.
