The floor a mav be hollow to receive a combustible mixture for delivery from it through perforations as shown. A fan or a non-return valve may be provided to control the draught. The chamber within which the members a, b are fitted may be made in sections. According to the Provisional Specification the floor a may be hollow or flat and the deflector b be correspondingly modified.
