Abstract

274,197. Applebey, M. P., and Carter, C. April 16, 1926. Sodium hypochlorite.-A solid, dry, and stable preparation of sodium hypochlorite is obtained by admixture of a strong solution or the melted crystals thereof with anhydrous or with partially or wholly dehydrated soluble salts of definitely alkaline character, which are capable either of forming stable hydrates, or of producing, by reaction with sodium hypochlorite, sodium salts which will form stable hydrates. Salts specified are sodium metaborate on the one hand, and triboric potassium phosphate on the other. Specifications 25925/98; 6783/08, [Class 81, Medicine &c.] ; and 274,198 are referred to.
