Abstract

274,036. Eloy, V. July 10, 1926, [Convention date]. Movable-abutment type; packing drums; driving pumps &c.-A rotary motor or compressor comprises two rotary eccentric cylinders 2, 3, one within the other, which are interconnected by a plurality of vanes 4 rigidly secured to the inner cylinder 2 and sliding in a rocking member 5 in the outer cylinder 3; the inner cylinder 2 is divided into a corresponding number of sections a, b on each of which is secured a vane extending the full length of the two cylinders. The admission and discharge is through ducts 17, 18 in the fixed shaft 1; the eccentric portion on which the inner cylinder rotates is formed with corresponding peripheral recesses 20 which periodically register with ports 21 in the inner cylinder. End packing rings 8 for the inner cylinder are held in place by pins 10. The drive takes place through a gear wheel 14 engaging a pinion 15 on the outer cylinder 3.
