Abstract
272,940. Siemens & Halske Akt.- Ges. June 17, 1926, [Convention date]. Valve gear. - In order to compensate for heat expansion, the overhead valve lever 1 is mounted on a pin 4 which is secured to an eccentric 5 carried in a bracket 6 on the cylinder head, the pin 4 being connected by a rod 7 to a part 8 of the engine having small expansion relatively to that of the cylinder head. The eccentric mounting 5 allows upexpansion of the bracket 6 without altering the height of the pin 4, which is held in position by the rod 7. In a modification, a lever is interposed in the length of the rod 7.
