Abstract
160,147. Bugatti, E. March 12, 1920, [Convention date]. Cams and tappets. - In internal-combustion engines, curved tappet-rods b are interposed between the cams and valvestems which are not in the plane of the camshaft. The tappet-rods for four valves work in a common guide-block c which is detachably secured to the casing of the overhead valvegear. The casing may be formed of a base-piece and a cover, connected by bolts which also support the guide-block.
