Abstract

272,602. Hanley, A. March 17, 1926. Body harness. - In safety harness of the type described in Specification 28782/12, the leg and shoulder straps are duplicated, the shoulder straps are embraced by a loop strap at the back, and one pair of shoulder straps is provided with a crook link. As shown, the apparatus comprises, as in the apparatus of prior Specification mentioned, a belt B<1>, leg straps D<6>, D<7>, and shoulder straps C<6>, C<7>. In addition to these parts there are provided belt parts B<2>, B<3>, J<1>, J<2>, belt grip links X<1>, X<44>, and X<5>, buckle N<3>, spring hook H<1>, link G, hook S<6>, fixed tool socket S<1>, loose tool socket S<2>, and shackle k<1>. The shoulder straps C<6>, C<7> do not cross at the back but are joined together by a short strap. Each of one pair of shoulder straps is provided with a crook link, which is either attached to its strap or loosely mounted thereon for attachment to the sling. The additional shoulder and leg-straps C<8>, C<9> are shown in Fig. 7 with a crook link R<4> for connection to a sling, a trouser grip H<6>, and leg straps D<8>, D<9> . Various buckles or connecting links for different purposes are described and illustrated in the Specification.
