Abstract

267,401. Dap - Motor - Patent - Ges. July 3, 1926, [Convention date]. Revolving-cylinder pumps.-In an engine or pump comprising curved or straight continuously rotating cylinders 1 with their pistons 2 alternately held stationary and moved through twice the stroke, the pistons in the stationary position are locked against forward as well as backward movement by an oscillating member pivoted to a stationary part of the engine and coacting with both moving parts. The pistons are connected with a ring i having teeth m and the cylinders with the hub d having teeth n. A lever on a fixed pivot engages the two sets of teeth., shown in Fig. 2, and so long as the lever h bears on the concentric parts of the teeth n the pistons are locked against rotation in either direction. The forward movement of the pistons is obtained by means of a planet pinion 5 and connecting rod 13 with a spring connection 14 to the piston carrying frame.
