Heating by electricity. -An electric water-heater of the " storage " type is provided with an overflow, temperature-indicating devices, and means for hanging garments, towels, &c. on its outside. The water tank 7 with tablet inlet 6, outlet 5 and overflow 6 is enclosed in a heat insulating casing 1 of semicircular cross section and bearing hooks, towel-rails &c. To the casing 1 is pivoted a pointer 9 on which bears a pointed rod 8 secured to the tank 7, so that the difference in the expansion of the tank and casing indicates the temperature of the tank.
