Abstract

266,666. Siemens Schuckertwerke Ges. Feb. 27, 1926, [Convention date]. Addition to 257,624. Induction, preventing.-In an arrangement in which the effective resistance of an earthed shielding circuit 3 is reduced for the disturbing frequencies by the insertion of condensers, the fall in voltage across one of the condensers 4 is transmitted through a transformer 5 to the protected line 1 so as to counterbalance the voltage directly induced by the disturbing line 2. A phase-shifting resistance or inductance coil may be inserted in series with the primary of the transformer to obtain exact balance. When there are several lines to be protected, the transformer 5 may have a number of secondary windings, one for each disturbed line. Capacity coupling may be used instead of a transformer.
