Abstract

188,551. Dornig, W. Nov. 30, 1921. Frequency, changing.-In an arrangement for multiplying the frequency of the current from a generator 1 by means of a transformer 6, the secondary circuit 7, 8 of which is tuned to any desired harmonic of the primary frequency, an inductance 5 is included in the primary circuit, this inductance being of such a size that currents of the secondary frequency are nearly suppressed in the primary circuit, and a loose inductive coupling 3 is provided between the primary circuit and the circuit of the generator 1 in order to prevent any remaining currents of the secondary frequency from affecting the generator. When the invention is applied to wireless signalling installations, a loose coupling 9 is provided between the secondary circuit and the aerial, and the value of the inductance 5 is such that its impedance to currents of the secondary frequency is at least ten times that of the aerial.
