Abstract
266,343. Weiss, J. Feb. 18, 1926, [Convention date]. Pistons.-In a piston for an internal-combustion or other engine the surfaces f which take the thrust are formed of bow section, the skirt being recessed at d adjacent the gudgeon-pin bearings e. The surfaces f are divided into a number of ribs h by means of cuts in horizontal planes, or in planes inclined in either direction to the horizontal. Each bearing surface may be rendered resilient above the ribs h by means of a horizontal cut i and a vertical cut k.
