516,787. Cooling cylinders. BRISTOL AEROPLANE CO., Ltd., FEDDEN, A. H. R., and NIXON, F. July 7, 1938, No. 20187. [Class 7 (ii)] Means for damping the vibrations of cylinder pins comprise pads 17 of resilient material which contact with the ribs 16. The pads are made of a synthetic rubber-like compound, e.g., Neoprene, and are held in place, either by a cement or by a support 24 from another structural member. The ribs penetrate recesses in the pads but clearances 25 are left at the bases of the recesses.
