Abstract

266,296. R³tgerswerke Akt.-Ges. Feb. 20, 1926, [Convention date]. Proofing against bacteria; fireproofing; proofing processes and compositions.-A wood preservative consists of a mixture of sodium fluosilicate with sodium fluoride, for example in the proportions of one part to three. One and a half parts of this salt mixture may be dissolved in one hundred parts of water, the wood being impregnated with this solution in a vacuum under pressure. This mixture is stated to have very little corrosive action on iron. Specification 196,769 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also the addition to the mixture of other substances which will preserve, or reduce the inflammability of, the wood. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
