produce a shaving compound'of the character indicated which is comparatively inexpensive and one that has proven eflicient and satisfactory.
With the foregoing and other objects in view, the invention consists in the ingredients and substantially in the proportions set forth.
In carrying the invention into practice, I employ soap suitable for shaving, boric acid and phenolphthalein and preferably the in- 21) gredients are employed in the following proportions, viz:
Shaving soap 10 parts; boric acid 2 parts; and plienolphthalein 1 part.
It has also been found in practice that a 25 composition consisting of soap suitable for shaving commingled with glycyrrhiza produces advantageous results and specifically the ingredients have been used in the following proportions, viz: shaving soap 12 parts;
so glycyrrhiza 1 part.
The composltlon can be prepared for use either as a cream or in solid form in cakes or sticks, or it may be powdered.
I claim:
A shaving composition consisting of shaving soap 12 parts and glycyrrhiza 1 part.
