Abstract

265,965. Siemens - Schuckertwerke Ges. Feb. 9, 1926, [Convention date]. Vacuum cleaners.-The motor 9 and fan 6 of an electric vacuum cleaner are carried in a liner 12 within the dust receptacle 3 and fitted bag 4. The commutator brushes 31 may be at about the level of the top of the liner. The filter 4 surrounds the liner and is supported and distanced therefrom by a wire grating 16 and a ring 30 let into the packing between the dust container and the top of the liner. The motor is supported from the base of the liner by screws 15 which also secure the wire grating. A cover 17 is secured to the liner by nuts 19 on screw bolts 18 carrying also nuts 20 to attach the handle bracket 21. Pivoted screws 23 connect the cover 17 to the dust receptacle; the motor and fan may thus be removed from the dust receptacle, allowing the filter to be removed and the receptacle emptied. By loosening the nuts 19, the motor and fan may be inspected, or the commutator brushes replaced.
