Heating by electricity.-An electric water heater consists of a reservoir 4 with a water inlet 13, a sinuous passage 5 in which are heating resistances 14a, formed in an insulating body, and an outlet passage 7, formed in the front of the body and communicating with the passage 5 by end openings 6 at such a level that the channel remains substantially full. The passage 7 slopes down to a spout 10 in which is placed a metal grid earthed by a bolt 12 enclosed in a partition 11 in the reservoir 4. The inlet 13 is connected to the water supply by a rubber tab. Specification 142,719 is referred to.
