Abstract
265,029. Bombrini Parodi-Delfino, and Benelli, T. March 24, 1926. Explosives. - In nitrocellulose-nitroglycerine propellent explosives containing a low proportion of nitroglycerine, part of the nitroglycerine is replaced by a eutectic mixture of one or more nitroderivatives and a substituted urea. The proportions by weight may range as follows :- nitrocellulose 50 to 70 per cent, nitroglycerine 5 to 35 per cent, nitroderivatives 3 to 25 per cent, and substituted urea 1 to 10 per cent. One example contains nitrocellulose 60, nitroglycerine 22. dinitrotoluene 7.3, trinitrotoluene 6.6, and diethylphenyl urea 4.1 parts by weight.
