Abstract

264,257. Hincks, J. H. Oct. 22, 1925. Openers, cleaners, etc.; feeding openers, cleaners, &c.-A machine for opening or teasing wool, hair, flock, &c. comprises a feed hopper K, a beater A, and a brush B. Fans J are arranged at each side of a closed chamber H below a perforated grid G situated beneath the beater and the brush. The air current generated by the fans draws the material from the hopper to the beater. The fibrous material is discharged through the opening K<1> by the brush B. The dust is drawn through the grid G and is collected in the chamber L, the air escaping through a fabric bag N.
