Abstract
162,667. Carcabilla, M. May 3, 1920, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Openers and cleaners.-Wool, cotton, flock, hair, straw &c. is treated in a machine comprising a beater E<1> provided with two sets of crossed pins F, F' at right angles to one another. The beater is driven by a belt and mounted in bearings C on a casing A and co-operates with two fixed combs arranged inside the casing. A grid is mounted below the beater. A cover S clcsed at one end U and open at the other is provided. The material is fed in through a hopper at the closed end and passes out through the open end. The casing is wider at one end than the other, and the other parts are shaped to correspond. The whole is enclosed in a canvas chamber supported on a wooden frame.
