Abstract

263,870. D³rst, T. Dec. 31, 1925, [Convention date]. Vulcanizers and vulcanizing.-Dry steam is produced in the chamber or autoclave in which articles are vulcanized. A supplementary steam supply may also be provided from a generator outside the chamber. Hot liquid from a pipe 7 is caused to circulate through pipes 15 to warm up a vulcanizing chamber 2 containing articles 1. The hot liquid is then passed by pipe 9 to a heater 13 immersed in a trough 14 containing water, until steam at the required pressure has been generated. If desired, the hot liquid may also be led by a pipe 11 to a steam generator 4, from which steam is led by a pipe 5 to the chamber 2, condensed water being caught by a basin 20. The hot liquid heating system may be replaced by other heating means such as electric radiators.
