Abstract
<PICT:0346936/III/1> In a dry-cleaning plant in which soap dissolved in an organic solvent is used as cleaning agent, the solution is circulated through the plant and supplied to the washers in a heated condition in order to prevent deposition of soap. The solution, supplied from a pipe 2, passes through a drum 1, heated by a contained steam pipe and is discharged into a pipe 3 from which it may be returned to the inlet of the drum. The heated solution is supplied through valves 7 to the washers 4. Alternatively the washers may be included in the circuit of the heated solution, which may also include filters. A thermostat 15 in the pipe 3 controls the supply of steam to the heating pipe.
