Abstract
202,961. Erste Br³nner Maschinen- Fabriks-Ges. Aug. 22, 1922, [Convention date]. Heating systems and apparatus.-To utilize the waste heat from a steam generating and power plant, water heated in a heater b placed on a boiler flue behind the economizer, excess steam from the boiler, exhaust steam, and hot waste water are passed into a receiver d serving as a storage unit from which low pressure steam and hot water may be taken. Water is forced through the heater by a pump a. The pump may withdraw hot water from the receiver and re-pass it through the heater. In a modification, two water heaters are used, and a separate pump is fitted in the return pipe between the receiver and the heaters. In a further modification, a number of receivers are connected in parallel to the hotwater supply and return pipes.
