Abstract

260,396. Berlinerblau, J. Sept. 21, 1925. Spindle-driving apparatus. - Electric motors for use in the independent driving of spinning- machine spindles are of elongated form and the stator laminae are mounted in metal frames which surround portions only of the periphery. A number of motors thus may be mounted side by side as shown in the Figure. The end flanges 5a carrying the top and bottom covers 5<b> are joined together by the angular metal frames 5 which are bolted to angle irons 2 secured to the frame 1 of the sp'nning- machine. The spindle rests on a footstep ball bearing, and in addition a lateral thrust ball bearing may be provided.
