Worm fans and pumps.-An air turbine on an aircraft obtains an auxiliary supply of air from a forwardly directed cone 17, carried by a spider from the shaft 13 of the turbine, and provided with internal helical blades 19 to assist compression of the air, collected during forward motion, into a stationary ball 21.
