Abstract

259,148. Schat, A. P. May 29. 1926. Addition to 255,727. Boat-lowering gear.-The improvement in the invention in the parent Specification. consists in securing the cradle to the boat by a flexible member secured at one end to the lower end of the cradle and at the upper end to a clamp on the cradle which also engages the gunwale. The iron cradle 10 has at its upper end a clamp member 11 which engages a metal block on the gunwale 12 of the boat b. The block has an eye 16 to which is attached a flexible cable 15 that is passed around the boat and secured to the lower part of the cradle. The cable has a tensioning member 18. The cradle is provided with wooden bearing blocks 14.
