258,770. Hurden, E., and Hurden, A. P. Aug. 12, 1925. Blocks, special shapes of.- Hollow chimney blocks are of approximately octagonal shape, formed by cutting away the corners of rectangular-shaped blocks, and such cut away parts are adapted for bonding with some of the walls of the house and for registering with adjacent recessed corners of adjoining blocks. In the construction illustrated, a block a having two flue openings b is of double octagon shape and the central recesses c constitute channels for receiving the ends of walls, which are cast between facing tiles as described in Specification 246,949, [Class 20 (iv), Floors &c.]. The blocks are formed of concrete and burnt clinker, crushed brick or the like.
