Abstract

257,777. Hilton, T. May 29, 1925. Spring surfaces. - A mattress &c. formed of cords or cables, and preferably a doublesided mattress having upper and lower faces separated by upholstery springs 15, is attached to a tubular frame by close coiled helical springs 16, 23 screwed into holes in the side and end tubes. The spring for the upper and lower surfaces may be at right angles, as in Fig. 4, or at acute or obtuse angles, or one or both springs may be vertical. At the sides the cables may be connected to the frame by springs, as shown in Fig. 6, with an extended eye 30 integral with the main part 31. The Provisional Specification refers to Specification 228,975, and the Complete Specification to Specification 257,875.
