[Class 52 (iv) ] In a spring mattress including a frame la spanned longitudinally and transversely by metallic strips 2, 2a connected to the frame by tension springs 3 and having helical mattress springs 4 located at the strip crossings, the lower convolutions 4a of the mattress springs are of full diameter and are interlaced with the strips by passing twice over the upper strip and twice under the lower strip.
