Cables, arrangement and disposition of parts of; insulating coverings for cables and conductors.- Electric cables comprise two or more insulated conductors a seated in a central strip or core c of flexible material, and fillings d of vulcanized bitumen in the spaces between the conductors and the outer covering. A cord or strip e of non-conducting material may be embedded in the core and fillings. In building up the cable, the fillings d may be coated with viscous material, such as petroleum jelly, in such quantity as to exude when the parts come together, or the building up of the cable may be effected under oil or compound.
