Abstract

256,662. Marks, E. C. R., (Brown Co.). April 8, 1925. Thermostats. - The temperature of the air entering a drying chamber is controlled by vapour-tension thermostats 45, 53 located in the air inlet duct 19 to the drying chamber and the exhaust steam chamber 42 with which the steam radiator 30 is connected. The thermostats communicate through flexible tubes with expandible capsules 49. 54 which, through adjustable cams 48, 55, control valves 51, 56 which control the flow of compressed air from a pipe 52 to the steam valve 44 and the exhaust valve 43. A rise in temperature in the duct 19 results in the closing of the steam valve and opening of the exhaust valve
