256,589. Maschinenfabrik F. Fuchs. Aug. 8, 1925, [Convention date]. Work-holders. - A. work-holder for drilling, planing, shaping and like machines comprises a base-plate 1 on which a body 2 carrying selfcentring jaws is angularly adjustable. The body carries a right and left hand screw 4 on which are nuts 7, each having a pair of V-shaped arms 8 attached at their extremities to two pairs of slides 6 guided in parallel grooves 5 on the body. Each slide has a pivot pin 9 on which a stepped jaw 10 may be secured in either of two reversed positions by means of screws 11. Alternatively the two slides of each pair may carry a long vicejaw extending across the body. Bearing surfaces 13 are provided on the body for the work to rest upon.
