Abstract

251,908. Fornaca, G. Jan. 21, 1926. Screw propellers.-In screw propellers with laminated blades and a metallic hub with one fixed and one separate end flange, the inner surface of one or both flanges is or are provided with an annular series of teeth or serrations. The removable flange 4 has an annular set of teeth 6 which are forced into the propeller 1 when the holding bolts 5 are tightened. The hub 2 engages splines on the main shaft 3 and is held by a screw and nut 9 between the two cones 7, 8.
