Pencil holders.-In a magazine pencil holder, a displaceable magazine tube b carries at its lower end a split leadpropelling tube e provided with an enlargement e<1> which is normally held by a spring d in ergagement with a clamping- ring h so that a lead held in the tube e is prevented from movement, the propulsion of the lead being effected by pressing the tube b inwardly until the cup-shaped end of the tube e engages a spreading-member i in the lower end of the casing. In the return of the tube b, the member i is disengaged from the end of the tube e by a projection in the casing. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also describes a modification in which the cup-shaped end of the tube e is adapted to be engaged by the clamping-ring h, the enlargement e<1> being omitted. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
