Abstract
250,599. Fuller, J. W. April 9, 1925, [Convention date]. Pneumatic conveyers. - Portland cement is conveyed and its free lime is simultaneously carbonated by compacting it under mechanical pressure into a pipe line and injecting therein compressed air or other gas containing carbon dioxide. Fig. 3 shows a suitable apparatus where the cement is compressed into a conduit 25 by means of a differential screw 28, and gas under pressure is admitted at the further end of the conduit from an annulus 89 provided with forwardly directed orifices 34, causing the cement to flow along the pipe line 42. Specification. 152,300 is referred to.
