Forcing gas into liquid.-Chambers from which air is passed into brewer's wort &c. in the manner described in the parent Specification consist of cylinders a. of a mixture of fireclay and coke surrounded by, or having embedded in them, a layer of wire gauze l. Discs m, n on the ends of the cylinders provided with packing rings p are connected by a perforated air-supply pipe q, on to one end of which is screwed a cap r, while the other end is screwed into a boss m<x> on the disc m, which is provided with a tube o communicating with the air supply.
