Abstract
250,221. Hahnemann, W. March 31, 1925, [Convention date]. Systems for transmitting music.-In systems using a number of independent sound transmitting or receiving instruments, each concerned with a particular band of frequencies, either different types of instrument are used, each instrument being specially efficient for its own frequency band, or the instruments are all of one type and are provided with amplifiers to compensate for the differences in efficiency of the type selected at the different frequency bands. These arrangements may be used in combination. Fig. 1 shows a system in which low, medium and high frequencies are dealt with respectively by moving coil, moving magnet and condenser telephones 9, 8, 7, the separation being effected by filters 11, 12, 10. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 3, all the instruments are of the moving coil type which favours the low frequencies and amplifiers V<1> - - V<3> are provided to equalize the effective efficiency of each channel. In a further arrangement all the instruments are of condenser type.
