Abstract
247,999. International General Electric Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Allgemeine Elektricitõts Ges.). Feb. 23, 1925, [Convention date]. Fans; impellers in parallel.-A number of fans a are arranged on shafts b placed side by side, the discharge openings of the fans being arranged in the same direction. The fans are intended particularly for carrying off flue gases, and may be driven by separate alternating current motors, or may be geared together and driven by one motor. To obtain equal loads on the two fans shown the partition e between the discharge passages can be adjusted to vary the cross-section of each passage. The adjustment can be obtained by external means dependent upon a relay operated by the difference in the current strengths taken by the driving motors.
