Abstract

314,107. Brooks, R., Gray, W. T., and Associated Electrical Industries, Ltd. March 21, 1928. Electric locomotives.- In machines having duplicate sets of motors 10, the drivers cabs 8, switches 17, 18, 19, overload relays 16, lighting motors 31, speed-controlling resistances 9, &c., are arranged symmetrically about the middle plane 1. A gangway at one side of the high tension compartment 2 connects the cabs 8. The resistances 9 are contained within an inner cabinet 3 which is ventilated through the floor and through louvres 27. Specifications 308,002, 312,720, and 313,427 are referred to.
