Abstract

245,845. Morris, A. F. Oct. 15, 1924. Radius rods.-A pair of telescopic radius rods forming a, V comprises plunger rods 11 joined together at 5 and connected to the vehicle chassis and tubular members 4 attached to the front axle, the members 4 enclosing springs 13, 14 for cushioning the plungers 12. The members 4 are closed by caps 9 which form abutments for the springs 13, whilst the springs 14 bear against abutments 15 held by pins 17, Fig. 2, or by a shoulder 18 in the tube, Fig. 3. The forward ends of the tubes 4 are fitted with plugs 3 for connection with the axle. The tubes are fitted with lubricators.
