Abstract

239,426. Mutti, A. Nov. 25, 1924. Pneumatic springs.-In shock-absorbers of the kind comprising air cushions interposed between the chassis or body and the wheels of a road vehicle the air cushion consists of an endless rubber inner tube 9 accommodated in an outer protection casing 10, the device being adapted to be interposed between horizontal abutments 1, 3 between the body of the vehicle and the wheels in such a manner that the endless tube and casing are maintained in a horizontal elongated form with substantially one half superimposed upon substantially the other half, horizontal rigid plates 12 being also interposed between the two said halves, which plates may carry the interlocking means 11 for the inner edges of the casing 10.
