Composite and india-rubber springs.-Relates to spring shackles of the rubber-ring type for connecting the end of the laminated axle spring 6 with the end of the spring or dumb-iron 5 on the vehicle frame, and consists (1) in mounting oval-shaped rubber tension-rings 2, 9 on sleeves 3, 13, 8, 14 attached to the ends of the bolts 4, 7 which pass through eyes on the members 6, 5 respectively; and (2) in confining the rubber rings between plates 1, 10, 11, 12, which prevent their lateral displacement.
