245,062. Wunderlich, H. Dec. 23, 1924, [Convention date]. Pistons. - A piston head b of aluminium, electron or other light metal is secured bv a central bolt d to a tension disc c in the skirt a, which is of cast-iron or steel. The disc c may be integral with the skirt, as shown to the right of the Figure, or a separate disc, as shown to the left. To secure fluid-tightness, the skirt is formed with a knife edge e engaging the head. Electron is stated to be an alloy of magnesium with small quantities either of aluminium with or without calcium, or of copper and silicon.
