Lantern screens.- A movable semitransparent tubular shade 4 normally ar. ranged in front of the electric bulb of a head - light is adapted to be moved rearwardly so that all or part of the light passes through it and glare is obviated. The shade is attached, preferably by lock nuts 14, Fig. 4. interposed rubber washers 20, 21 and a slidably mounted metal washer 17, to a vertical rod 5 on a U-shaped member 6, 7 slidable in horizontal guide tubes 7 10 and operable by the driver through rods 11 or the like.
