Abstract

243,973. Marks, E. C. R., (Simmons Co.). April 20, 1925. Joints and connections. -In a corner fastening for bedsteads &c., the side rail 1 and corner bracket 4 are provided with co-operating means, such as the stud 16 and inclined slot 15 to jam the rail endwise against an abutment 12 on the bracket, when the parts are assembled. The face of the abutment 12 is inclined so that the rail 1 is also jammed laterally against the wing 5 of the bracket. An end rail 2 may be similarly secured, a second inclined abutment 14 being provided on the wing 6 of the bracket 4, which bracket may be secured to the corner post 3 by screws 9 and bolts 10.
