Abstract
146,512. Puritz, W. Dec. 16, 1918, [Convention date]. Frames.-Articles and parts of furniture such as cabinets, doors, panels, and bedsteads, are formed of a covering of plywood applied to a frame constructed of bars and thin plates. In the cabinet shown in Fig. 3, a covering 3 of ply-wood is secured by glueing to a frame of bars 5 and plates 4, the curved periphery of the plates 4 determining the curvature of the ply-wood. In the door shown in Fig. 2, a corrugated form is given to the ply-wood by the form of the plates 1 arranged transversely between the bars 2. Figs. 5 and 7 illustrate a bedstead, the framing of which is formed of bars 9, 11, plates 8 and 10 and plywood 3.
