Abstract

335,362. Brown, Boveri, et Cie Akt.- Ges. Aug. 27, 1929, [Convention date]. Refrigerators, domestic and like.-A refrigerator cabinet built up from wall units which are detachably connected together, comprises self-supporting metal border frames to which heat insulating elements are fixed. The frames consist of an inner and an outer part connected together by the heat insulating material. In a corner joint of the cabinet walls, the frames a and b of one of the walls c are made angle-shaped, whilst the inner corner frame d of the other wall e is of T-shaped cross-section. The outer frame f is lengthened and bent to form the corner of the cabinet. The frame f is also provided with a flange which is connected to frame b during assembly. The frames a and b are joined together by a web g of bad heat-conducting material such as bakelite. A second web i may also be used. The frames f and d of the other wall are similarly assembled and the walls held rigidly together by the bolt k. In modifications, the outer parts of the supporting framework are also joined together.
