Abstract

Purifiers. - In a gas purifier grid of the type in which two rows of support bars A are arranged on the opposite sides of bearer bars B so that the bars A in one row break joint with those in the other row, or in which the bars A are arranged in pairs on one side of a bearer bar, both rows of bars A are arranged in pairs so as to form pockets L of purifying material supported by the lower bars. The bearer bars B are superposed or are arranged side by side, Fig. 22. The bars A are preferably rhombohedral and fit in recesses L in the bars B which may be made in sections. A material sold under the registered Trade Mark " Avebene," bitumen or the like is placed in the recesses and the bars are secured by headless screw nails P of abnormal pitch.
