Abstract
243,786. Lanchester, F. W. Aug. 30, 1924. Non-reactive steering - mechanism; steering. -A damping device b<1> for preventing or controlling oscillations of the steering wheels or associated parts is arranged to act (a) between the front axle a<1> and the chassis frame c<1>, as shown, or (b) between the road wheels and the frame, the damping device in this case being connected to a forwardly extending member rigid with a steering wheel stub axle. The damping device may comprise a semi-rotary cylinder b<1> or may be of any convenient kind.
